This is Toby. He is our little miracle. Just after he was born in 2013 he tried to die. This is his story.
Just a few months after he was born he got in a tragic accident.
Suddenly out of nowhere Toby runs and jumps right in the path of an arrow from a bow. Now he was only 3 months old so he was relatively small. When that arrow hit him it went all the way through. We honestly thought he was going to not make it. We ran him to the animal hospital as fast as we could. On the way he stopped breathing several times and lost alot of blood. Not to mention he had an arrow ten times his size sticking out of him. When we got to the hospital they rushed him in and did xrays. They doubted he would make it. We told them to do whatever they had to to keep him alive. They did surgery for several hours. Finally they called late that night. He had made it but they didn't think he would make it through the night. The next day we called first thing and he was doing much better. After another couple of days we got to bring him home. We had to put a onesie on him so he wouldn't keep pulling out his stitches. Finally after a month he was healed. So after many visits to the vet. Thousands of dollars later and after getting out his kidney, resectioning his pancreas, liver, and stomach. Our Toby is a miracle. Till this day he is loved by the vets. They call him there miracle kitty. Throughout all this he was very sweet and everyone loved him.
But wait there is more...
About a year later Toby came in from a night outside. He looked like he either was beaten up by a dog, or took on a wild animal. We cleaned him up. A little later my daughter went in the kitchen to find Toby had left his tail on the floor. We took him to the vet. After about 3 more surgeries, infection, and almost losing his life once again his stump finally healed. It was a good thing because he couldnt have anymore surgery. They had cut off as much as they could. If the infection hadn't stopped he would have lost his finale battle. But, once again he came back. Now he has been accident free for about a year and a half. Knock on wood. After all, I am pretty sure at 3 years old he does not have any lives left to lose. So we are keeping a very close eye on him for safe keeping.
